Is Rizk Legit? MGA License Check, Betsson Ownership & Complaints

Is Rizk legit? The strongest ownership chain we track, and the weakest Trustpilot score (August 2026 check)

Verdict: Legit with caveats

Rizk sits at the opposite end of the trust spectrum from the offshore crypto brands we usually check. The license is Malta Gaming Authority, the owner is Nasdaq-listed Betsson AB, and the register entry checks out against the official MGA licensee register. The caveat is the player-sentiment side: a 2.0/5 Trustpilot score with a 73% one-star share, unanswered negative reviews, and a recurring account-closure-during-verification complaint. Both halves of that picture are true at once, and this page explains how they fit together.

  • License: Malta Gaming Authority. Searching the operator name on the official MGA licensee register on 8 August 2026 resolves to NetPlay Malta Ltd (company reg. C 81115), authorisation MGA/CRP/1117/2025 (Type 1, 2 and 3 gaming services), status Licensed, registered at Betsson's 199 Experience Centre, Ta' Xbiex Seafront, Malta.
  • Ownership: Betsson AB (Nasdaq Stockholm) since April 2020, via its acquisition of Gaming Innovation Group's B2C business.
  • Years operating: since 2016.
  • Trustpilot: 2.0/5 across 294 reviews ("Poor" band); 73% one-star, 12% five-star – but only 10 reviews in the last 12 months.
  • Top complaint theme: accounts restricted or closed during identity verification, with balances and loyalty perks forfeited.
  • Community-reported withdrawal time: e-wallet and Trustly cashouts inside 24 hours for verified accounts; no weekend processing.

Last verified: 8 August 2026 (MGA register + Trustpilot checked live).

Who owns Rizk and license check

Rizk launched in 2016 as a Gaming Innovation Group brand, operated by Zecure Gaming Limited in Malta. In April 2020, Betsson AB bought GiG's entire B2C portfolio – Rizk alongside Guts, Kaboo and Thrills – and the brand has run inside Betsson Group ever since. Betsson is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, files quarterly accounts, and answers to regulators in every major market it touches. Among the casinos we run trust checks on, that is the strongest corporate accountability chain we have seen.

We checked the official MGA licensee register on 8 August 2026. Searching "Zecure Gaming Limited" resolves to a live record for NetPlay Malta Ltd, company registration C 81115, authorisation MGA/CRP/1117/2025 covering Type 1, 2 and 3 gaming services, status Licensed. The registered address is 199 Experience Centre, Ta' Xbiex Seafront – Betsson Group's Malta headquarters – and the listed contact is a betssongroup.com address. Rizk's own about page names Zecure Gaming Ltd as operator and notes that NetPlay Malta Limited administers operations in certain regions; both companies sit at the same Betsson address.

One paperwork note. Older Rizk pages and third-party reviews cite the pre-2025 licence format (MGA/B2C numbering). The MGA has since moved licensees onto corporate authorisation numbers, which is why the current register entry reads MGA/CRP/1117/2025. A changed number in this direction is re-authorisation under the newer framework, not a lapsed licence – the status field that matters says Licensed.

Heads Up

An MGA licence buys you something offshore licences do not: segregated player funds, and a formal complaint path through the MGA's player-support process with independent dispute resolution behind it. If a dispute goes wrong at an Anjouan or Curaçao brand, you are largely negotiating with support. At an MGA brand, you can escalate – our step-by-step license verification guide shows how to read any register entry before you deposit.

Complaint record

We source this section from Trustpilot, checked live on 8 August 2026. We also searched Reddit the same day and found no substantive organic Rizk threads – for a 2016 brand that is notable in itself, and it means Trustpilot carries the sentiment picture alone.

The headline numbers look rough: 2.0/5 across 294 reviews, with a 73% one-star share. Before reading on, weigh the volume: 294 lifetime reviews for a ten-year-old, multi-market casino is thin, and only 10 arrived in the last 12 months. Betsson does not invite Rizk customers to review (Trustpilot flags "no recent history of asking for reviews"), so the profile self-selects for complaints – people arrive angry. That does not erase the complaints; it does mean the 2.0 reflects an unmanaged profile more than a measured verdict on the average session.

The themes that repeat:

  • Accounts restricted or closed during verification. The most detailed complaint (October 2025, Finland) describes an account closed mid-KYC over an alleged birth-date mismatch, with accumulated raffle tickets, loyalty progress and an open €50 bet forfeited. The reviewer disputes that the details were wrong and says no evidence was shown.
  • Bonus features underpaying. A July 2026 one-star review describes bonus rounds repeatedly paying zero and advises others to stay away. A December 2025 reviewer says roughly €13,000 wagered produced only fifty 10-cent free spins from the reward wheel.
  • Perceived game unfairness. A November 2025 review alleges repetitive near-miss patterns. As always, we file these as player perceptions – MGA-licensed games run on independently audited RNGs.

On resolution behaviour, Trustpilot's own profile flag is the clearest data point: Rizk has not replied to negative reviews. For a group of Betsson's size that is a choice, and it is the single easiest thing they could fix.

Key Takeaway

The two numbers to hold together: authorisation MGA/CRP/1117/2025, status Licensed, under a Nasdaq-listed owner – and 2.0/5 on Trustpilot from 294 reviews, 73% of them one-star. The first number is registry-verified fact; the second is a thin, unmanaged, complaint-skewed sample. Neither cancels the other.

What players like and hate

What players like:

  • Fast payouts once verified. A June 2026 five-star reviewer from Canada reports a first withdrawal landing in about 3 hours and a second inside 2 days.
  • Frictionless small-stakes play. A May 2025 UK reviewer describes joining, playing, winning and withdrawing "without a single bit of trouble", no documents requested.
  • The gamification layer. The Wheel of Rizk and daily Rizk Races keep regulars engaged, a point echoed in our full review testing.

What players complain about:

  • The KYC gate. Verification loops, document re-requests, and in the worst cases account closure mid-process with perks forfeited.
  • Reward value versus headline. Wheel prizes and bonuses reading far smaller in practice than the marketing suggests.
  • Silence. Negative reviews go unanswered, which compounds every other complaint.

The pattern will be familiar if you have read our other trust checks: the anger clusters at the identity-check gate, not the cashier. Players who verify early and cash out through e-wallets report a smooth, fast experience; players who hit KYC with a balance already at stake write the one-star reviews. What Rizk's terms ask for and when is standard MGA practice – our guide to how casino KYC works covers the document pack and the thresholds so none of it surprises you.

Withdrawal speed

We have not run a live withdrawal test on Rizk yet, and we would tell you if we had. What the published payment terms and player reports agree on:

  • E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter, Luxon Pay) and Trustly: 0–24 hours after approval. This is the rail to use – it is the only loop that closes same-day.
  • Cards: 1–5 days. Bank wire: 2–7 days.
  • Limits: 10 EUR minimum, 10,000 EUR maximum per cashout, split-payable for bigger balances. No withdrawal fees.
  • No weekend processing. A Friday-evening request can sit until Monday before it enters the queue.
  • Verification: KYC is required before the first withdrawal, and cashouts above roughly 2,000 EUR can trigger source-of-funds checks – payslips or bank statements, the works. That check is an MGA anti-money-laundering obligation rather than a Rizk invention; our source-of-funds explainer covers what gets asked for and how to have it ready.

The June 2026 report of a 3-hour first payout and the 2020-era praise both fit the same shape: verified account, e-wallet rail, weekday request. The horror stories come from the other path.

Pro Tip

Do the boring thing on day one – upload ID, proof of address and payment confirmation before you play, and pick an e-wallet you also deposited with. Every fast-payout report we read followed that route; every stuck-withdrawal report skipped part of it.

CheckStatusNote
License✅ VerifiedMGA register resolves the operator to NetPlay Malta Ltd (C 81115), authorisation MGA/CRP/1117/2025, Type 1–3, status Licensed, checked 8 August 2026. Betsson Group address and contact on the record.
Registry mismatch✅ ClearOlder MGA/B2C-format numbers on legacy pages reflect the pre-2025 numbering, superseded by the corporate authorisation above – a format change, not a lapse.
High bonus wagering⚠ FoundThe EU welcome offer carries 45x wagering on the bonus – above the 35x–40x market average. Clearing it at average slot RTP costs more in expected losses than the bonus is worth.
Confiscation reports⚠ FoundTrustpilot complaints describe accounts closed during verification with loyalty perks, open bets and balances forfeited (October 2025 case detailed above). MGA players can escalate such disputes to independent resolution.
Weekend processing gap⚠ FoundNo cashout processing on weekends – Friday requests queue until Monday.
Max-bet bonus trap– UnverifiedRizk geo-blocks our location, so we could not read the live bonus terms this pass. Betsson brands typically cap bets while a bonus is active; check the cap before you stake. Re-check scheduled.
Dormancy fees– UnclearNo fee complaints found in the review record; live T&C read pending for the same geo-block reason.
Clone/mirror domains⚠ FoundSeveral unofficial "rizk" review and promo domains circulate. The licensed brand domain is rizk.com – verify the register entry yourself rather than trusting a lookalike.

Final verdict

Rizk suits a European slot player who wants the regulatory ceiling as high as it goes: MGA licence, segregated funds, a Nasdaq-listed owner, and a real dispute-resolution path if something breaks. On the will-I-get-paid question this page exists to answer, the structural answer is the strongest one we can give – this is not an operator that can quietly vanish with a balance.

The caveats are real and specific. Verify before you play, because the complaint record clusters entirely at the KYC gate, and the worst cases describe closures mid-verification. Treat the 45x welcome bonus as skippable – the clearance math is unfavourable, a point our full review runs in detail. And go in knowing that if you do leave a complaint on Trustpilot, nobody from Rizk will answer it.

What would upgrade this verdict to a clean "legit"? Two things, both cheap for a group of Betsson's size: answer the negative reviews, and publish clearer bonus-value numbers so the reward wheel stops surprising people. The licence side needs no upgrade – it is already the best in our trust-check series. For the games, payments and bonus detail, our full Rizk review covers the rest.

FAQ

Is Rizk safe?

Structurally, yes – about as safe as online casinos get. Rizk operates under a Malta Gaming Authority licence (register-verified 8 August 2026, status Licensed) and is owned by Nasdaq-listed Betsson AB, which means segregated player funds, audited games, and an independent dispute path. The practical risk is friction, not fraud: complete identity verification before you build up a balance.

Does Rizk actually pay out?

Yes. Recent Trustpilot reviewers report first withdrawals landing in around 3 hours via fast rails, and the published terms commit to 0–24 hour e-wallet processing. The negative reports overwhelmingly involve accounts that hit verification problems, not approved withdrawals that never arrived. Verify early, use an e-wallet, and avoid weekend requests – Rizk does not process cashouts on weekends.

Why is Rizk's Trustpilot score so low?

The 2.0/5 comes from a thin, unmanaged sample: 294 lifetime reviews, only 10 in the last 12 months, no review invitations from the company, and no replies to negatives. Profiles like that self-select for complaints. The complaints themselves are worth reading – KYC closures and bonus-value gripes lead – but the score is not a measured verdict on the average player's session.

Who owns Rizk?

Betsson AB, the Stockholm-listed gambling group, via its April 2020 acquisition of Gaming Innovation Group's B2C brands. Day to day, the operator of record is Zecure Gaming Ltd, with NetPlay Malta Ltd (the entity on the current MGA register record) administering operations in certain regions. Both companies are registered at Betsson's Malta headquarters.

Is Rizk licensed?

Yes. The official MGA licensee register, checked on 8 August 2026, shows the operating entity under authorisation MGA/CRP/1117/2025 (Type 1, 2 and 3 gaming services) with status Licensed. Older MGA/B2C-format numbers you may see cited elsewhere are the pre-2025 numbering format, superseded by this corporate authorisation.
