How the Overall Score Works
Each dimension scores from 0–100 based on its sub-criteria. The overall score is the weighted average of all six dimensions, converted to a 1–10 scale.
Let's say a casino scores 90/100 on Games, 85/100 on Trust, 70/100 on Payments, 60/100 on Bonuses, 80/100 on Support, and 100/100 on Mobile. The weighted calculation:

Regulated vs. Offshore Casinos
We review both regulated and offshore casinos because players use both. The scoring model inherently favors regulated operators – a tier-1 license from the MGA or UKGC contributes significantly to the Trust & Licensing dimension, which carries 25% of the overall score.
Offshore casinos with Curaçao licenses start at a disadvantage but can compensate with strong performance in other categories. We always label the license type so players know exactly what level of consumer protection they accept.
How Often Do Rankings Change?
We conduct full re-evaluations monthly. Rankings can also change between cycles if we learn of a significant event – a license suspension, a pattern of delayed withdrawals, or a major game library update.
The goal: rankings always reflect the current state of each operator, not a snapshot from months ago.
Commission-Agnostic Rankings
ClearCasinos earns affiliate commissions from some of the operators we review, disclosed on every page. Commission rates are not one of the criteria in our scoring model. A casino paying us a higher revenue share sits in the same position as one paying less – or nothing at all – if the data scores them equally.
Sponsored placements, when they exist, are visually and structurally separated from editorial rankings and clearly labeled. A casino paying for a featured slot receives the same objective score it would have received otherwise.
